All this talk of the monochrom M, I just had to convert this one to B&W
Had my x100 for 5 days and it had to go off for repair (long story)... finally have it back after two weeks now and can't wait to really use it this weekend!

Some great shots here. I have had mine a week and still figuring it out. This one was RAW and manual focus with the AF button. f/4 seems to be its sweet spot and at least -1/3rd EV of exp. comp. This camera always gets its shot and so far, I am very impressed... for a film guy.

Thanks David, I've been actually trying to re-create that particular look. Not that I don't like the X100's jpgs, they look very nice and clean indeed, but somehow I miss the roughness and crazy colors (the "soul"?) of a color negative.

My word this is a good place to be. I have found it hard to find a group like this with such a variety of styles and interests and quality.

Excellent images everyone. I just got my camera last week, after mulling it over for the last year or so. I probably should have just got it when it first came out, because I really think this is what I've been waiting for all these digital years, while using either plastic, unergonomic heaps or huge, heavy full frame hunks, with massive mediocre lenses. I think I'm finally home .

This is just what I've been trying (and failing!) to achieve... would you be willing to share camera settings/post processing details? (if not, that's fine ). Thanks.
