R4A split/cracked focusing patch?

I noticed today that the focusing patch on my R4A is split in one corner, like a small part has cracked and moved slightly away from the rectangle you usually see in the centre of the viewfinder. The section of the patch is still connected to the main patch at one edge.

Has this happened to anyone else? I suspect that it won't affect focusing accuracy unless I try use the specific corner edge where it has 'cracked' away from the standard rectangle, but I'd like to know:

- if anyone else has experienced this;
- is there is an estimate for cost to repair;
- what is the cause?

Hi, There's a tiny dark line across mine, almost like a 'hair in the gate'. Doesn't seem to affect the camera operation. It's just annoying when I notice it.

Thanks Mick. What I'm seeing is definitely a separation of parts of the patch (to my eyes). One broken edge matches the other, like a piece of paper torn in two. Anyone else?
