X100 Adaptor Ring and Lens Hood Info from Fuji Canada

I spoke to Jim English (Account Manager, Imaging Pro Division) today with Fuji Canada in person in Regina, SK and asked him about the Fuji X100 lens hood and adapter ring. Basically this is the dope. You can screw a 49mm filter onto the adapter ring and then the lens hood bayonet mounts over the filter and onto the adapter ring. The hood is going on straight to the outside of the adapter ring and bayoneting on and not touching the filter which screws onto the adapter ring. So you can have a filter on the X100 and the hood on at the same time. No way the leather case will fit the X100 with the adapter ring and hood on though. Hope this clears things up.
Also English mentioned that production had resumed on the X100 but the batteries (N95 I believe) were severely affected by the quake and out of production.
I was able to order two Fuji Factory boxed with instructions NP-95's on eBay for $11.95 each with free shipping. I received them and I was impressed.

Also another item of note is the Acmaxx LCD Screen Protector for the X100 that I also ordered for $23 with shipping for $1.49. Here is the link.

I received it today and put it on and I feel much safer with it on than the iPhone 4 screen protector that I cut down to fit the X100 before.

Kinda makes the case useless for me. I worry about my lens though they need to start shipping that adapter ring!

The local mom and pop camera shop in my town got their X100 adapter ring in stock... but Fuji hasn't yet sent the X100 itself
