put in an 1.5V 625,
shutter works at all speed (likely, first roll not back yet).
the winder is good.

however the meter needle is nowhere to be seen.

The colors are excellent! I'm giving in to the temptation to pick up either a Dial or a Demi. Have you worked with a Demi as well? Honestly, I know very little about these half-frame cameras, but I'm so curious!

i have an unworking Demi EE17, trying to fix it without going anywhere.

Just got a Demi C (with interchanable lens!) the first roll will be back next week.

i love half frame cameras but i can't say i am a very experienced user
but i think the Dial 35 (version 2) is more fun to use if you love "snap shot" rather than "photography"

i am in Hong Kong, i just use an very ordinary (and the only) one-hour lab in my neighborhood.
they do the develop-and-scan for around US$4 a roll. (they can make 2-on-one-sheet prints too)
(the boss keep telling me all films will die in a year or two,
and that i am the only customer left)

cool! I was in Hong Kong in March for 5 weeks. I walked all over and found places where I could get film, but wasn't taking C41 pictures back then.

Here in NYC the lab I go to (Yardley Photo at 41 Bowery in Chinatown..just in case) also threatened to stop film developing by the end of the year and yes it seems I'm one of the few customer left doing film. Bummer, too, since they do a great job!

I have a friend soon to be back in HK (end of month) who wanted
to start film photography. There wasn't enough time in NYC for me to get her started. Could you post info on the lab you go to so that maybe they'll have TWO customers?
