Concept camera.
Wow. What a concept. I'm guessing that one didn't make it much farther than that.

I agree ... it's the winner!
It's hard to imagine what some designer thought may have possibly been attractive about that?

You've all missed the point! It's actually a bedside alarm clock and iPod docking station that has the added feature of a built in camera. It's primary purpose is .... well ......?

When I saw it, I though surely this must have been designed in the late '80s. But no! It's from the current millennium. Whodathunkit?
More about it here: http://www.3106.net/photo/cam1035.htm
It is definitely an ugly camera.

That is ugly...

I saw OP's title and I murmured to myself, how can a camera be ugly.
No way such a simple concept as a camera can be made to look ugly.
I clicked on the link and... jeez, that is hideous.
Good job Canon.

So, I think it isn't that ugly, just a huge departure from the norm and our perceptions. If most cameras looked like this, we might thing Leicas were less aesthetically pleasing. But, if form follows function, what is the purpose of this camera? This is probably why our favorite cameras look like they do, and not like the Canon Orange.
