thinking of a faster lens...

i have been thinking of faster lenses of late...
thinking that i would add the 40/1.4 to my camera bag (again).
i only want one smallish fast lens and i like the 40 fov on the rd1 crop.

but then i started to think about maybe getting the 28/2...it's sorta fast, not as big as the 1.9 and if there was a focal length that i would like to improve with on the rd1, it would be the 28.

also, the desire for a faster lens is mostly for indoor use so the 28 might be a better call.

so i have 2 questions...

40 or 28?

and is the 28/2 significantly different in image making than the 28/3.5?

i have had the 40/1.4 and i quite like it and i know how it compares to my 40 sonnar.

I've got it too.

I guess Joe prefers 40 than 35

Hard to say, Joe. Buy both, they fit great in a fast kit. Still cheaper than an X100 ....

Since the 28/2 will FOV out at 42, that would get my vote. Nice looking lens, too (Did I say that?)
