Anybody ever used a CV 21mm lens and one of the Zeiss 21mm lens (4.5 or 2.8)? Differences? Image quality? That little CV 21mm LTM lens rocks. Come to think of it, am I right that the glass on the CV 21mm LTM lens is the same as on the CV 21mm M mount lens?

Had both. ZM IS better. But CV is very very good, so I kept the CV at the end as it's smaller and 21mm is a lesser used FL for me. But if you use 21mm often - ZM is a must have IMO.

I had ZM 21/2.8, which IMO is a better one, as it is faster. I would not even consider 21/4.5 as CV 21/4 is very very good and is much cheaper, so I dont see advantage other than size. There are things you can use f2.8 lens that f4 or slower lens would make it impossible. I'm sure ZM 21/4.5 is great, but for me CV does about the same, really.

When shooting prints i never realised a difference between my CV 21/4 and the ZM 21/4.5. But since i have a M8 i can easily tell which picture is made with which lens. The ZM is definetely sharp from corner to corner, the CV only in the middle. It's a little bit more contrasty and tends lesser to flare
