Movies / Cameras in the Movies / TV / Media If you are a photographer, it's difficult not to appreciate movies too. In this forum you can discuss movies, as well as the cameras used in them. What camera used in what film / TV show etc has long been a topic of discussion at RFF. Whether the Exakta and 400mm Kilfitt lens in Hitchcock's Rear Window or the Nikons in Eastwood's Bridges of Madison County, cameras are tools which reflect the time and technology of the film.

Thumbs up BY The Ways; Eggleston (a short review)

As we are going away my wife gave me my birthday presents early Well in these was a copy of By The Ways; A journey With William Eggleston.
What can I say, having the two other Eggleston DVDs. This I feel is by far the best of the bunch, there are interviews with Dennis Hopper and David Byrne, Byrne is quite interesting, there are other interviews that are also interesting. Also there is a lot more of Eggleston talking about his work, though as usual he gives no reason for any pictures. Also on there we see how the Dye Transfer prints are made which was a bonus. Of all the DVDs I felt I got a lot more out of it, there are images I had not seen before in there too. On the down side if it effects you the film still has that disjointed film feel, I like things that are disjointed so I am quite happy with it. All in all I highly recommend the film to any Eggleston fan.
