A lot of beautiful photos here but I was wondering. How many of them are straight from the camera with no post processing? No Silver Efex conversions, no PS, no anything. Just what the camera is capable of processing. This is one directly from my cellphone using Camera 360. Any processing was done by the camera itself. It's not beautiful, but I find it interesting.

Paul, there's something amazing happening if 20 years after your death so many people gather to watch your work. It was a beautiful day today.

They are just an intermediate medium. I capture all the information I can without sharpening/saturation/contrast, etc, then take it into photoshop. That's where the image really takes shape.

I didn't mean you should stop post processing. I would just like to see which cameras will get you closest to the finished product using the cameras B/W setting. I'm also talking about .jpg images and not shooting RAW.

doing that takes me much farther from the finished product, not closer. I don't let cameras make processing decisions for me, because it will make the same adjustments for every image and I make adjustments suited to each image. Even the M9M is sold bundled with Silver Effex....

I agree, with film the print is independent of the camera and likewise with digital. Any way, for me post processing is part of the fun.

As far as the Leica M Monochrom, I can't understand why they bundle SFX as it is designed to work with colour files, perhaps someone could enlighten us on this.
