Tom Abrahamsson of RapidWinder.com It is almost never that an inventor improves on a Leica product so that it is better than the original Leica product. Tom holds that distinction with his RapidWinder for Leica M rangefinders -- a bottom mounting baseplate trigger advance. In addition Tom manufacturers other Leica accessories such as his very popular Soft Release and MiniSoftRelease shutter releases. Tom is well known as one of the true Leica rangefinder experts, even by Leica. IMPORTANT READ THIS: CWE Forum hosts have moderation powers within their forum. Rolleimat Universal Enlarger

Dear Tom-

I came across a mint condition ROLLEIMAT UNIVERSAL ENLARGER.
The enlarger came with a 50mm Rodenstock f4.0 enlarging lens that is spotless.

It is a condenser enlarger. It takes 35mm & medium format.
It states it is made in Germany, (west Germany). It is very compact, but very strong with majority of parts made of metal.

Some have said that ROLLEI contracted with Sauders to make this enlarger? I thought SAUDERS was or is a japanese company; not German.

Do you know anything about these enlargers?

Best,

LV1

I don't know anything about the Rollei enlargers. Never used one. Obviously with the 50mm lens (good lens too) it is set up for 35mm. For 120 you will need a 80mm lens for full coverage. Also check that it has all the masks and negative holders needed. It is a bit uncommon so parts are not that easy to find.
