here's the MIG I shot a few years back, stuck in the back corner of a dark hanger in Illinois.
Maybe we should start a "Show off your MIG camera" thread.

the mig 17 is one of my favorite fighters ever. so basic, so effective. such a clean look, designed by men, not computers ...

that's a rear-looking periscope for the pilot, not a camera, so the pilot could check his 6 ...

Thanks, everyone. This MIG is on static display at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison TX. They have several Russian aircraft.
I think the Kiev is a keeper.  Really enjoy the wide base of the rangefinder...makes focusing a pleasure. |
