Thats also a Russian camera stuck just above the intake. Like to have one of those babys.

the mig 17 is one of my favorite fighters ever. so basic, so effective. such a clean look, designed by men, not computers ...

that's a rear-looking periscope for the pilot, not a camera, so the pilot could check his 6 ...

Thanks, everyone. This MIG is on static display at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison TX. They have several Russian aircraft.

I think the Kiev is a keeper. Really enjoy the wide base of the rangefinder...makes focusing a pleasure.
