Just purchased it and had a good friend make me up a strap that suited it (have tried Leica time straps, just didn't get with them for the price)

1st roll of film yielded no surprises, so happy as a pig in the proverbial

My Leica

Here is my baby

Had it for a long time. Apparently it belonged to Flemming
Adelson. Does anyone know who this person is?

Your M3 has quite a provenance. Flemming Adelson is a Danish photographer, mostly movie stills I believe. But he also took pictures of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones when they were visiting Denmark. Maybe these pictures were taken with your M3!

Here's Brian Jones, for example: http://www.europhoto.eu.com/European...2-110105-2.jpg

thanks

Thanks for your help. The sad thing is I have no proof that it once belonged to him. The seller said that his mum (also a photog) bought it from him.

Wonder if there are any pic of Adelson's Leica M3?

Cheers

Makes Perfect Sense

Pelican Case (totally waterproof) makes perfect sense to carry several thousand dollars of Leica gear in a canoe. Used one to carry a camera in a white water kayak down 225 miles of the Colorado through the Grand Canyon. Not a drop on the camera gear after several eskimo rolls through some of the bigger rapids.

Ok I get that, but hiking? Would be quite bulky or at least very tiring to carry by the handle....just saying.

Aki Asahi's 4034.

I don't think it's available anymore unfortunately.

4008 is just as lovely, with a slightly finer grain.
