I'm using Gordy's string mount neck strap on my 'cord V. Gordy will make the strap exactly to the length you want it to be.

I got one of Gordy's dual split-ring straps a few weeks ago and I'm using it on my Rolleiflex. It's a beautifully made, age-appropriate, comfortable, and affordable (mine was 42 bucks including neck strap and o-ring strap bumpers AND shipping). I'd definitely check his stuff out.
