Silver lens cap for Jupiter 8?

Hi,
I have a silver Jupiter 8 on my Zorki 3.But it has a black lens cap, which I don't like much...
Is there anywhere in the UK where I can source a silver lens cap? Or worldwide if postage to UK is possible/afordable?

Thanks,
Glen

Why not try Ebay? There shouldn't be any quality issues with a lens cap.

You're being serious? Spray paint the black one silver.

Amedeo M. (the guy with the excellent Contax mount adapters) sometimes sells replica Contax metal lens caps through his ebay store...

Spray paint is not really an option, I wouldprefer a metal one, and I paint would last too long (unless the camera is just sitting on a shelf, which it is not!)

I've had a quick look on Ebay. There are some metal contax replicas on there, but in different sizes.

As far as I know, the Jupiter is 40.5mm, but I take this to be the thread size, not the size of a slip on cap. What size would I be looing for (or model of Contax lens, as most listings quote the lens type rather than size)

Cheers for any help
Glen

Chrome caps in the 42mm push-on J8 size are surprisingly difficult to find. Ebay has loads of the smaller caps for the collapsible Industar 22/50, but the larger size is trickier. However, there is an ebay seller at the moment

I just bought a couple of these but have not received them yet. We shall see what condition they are in.

Cheers,
Dez
