We obtained permission to climb a peak in Eastern Nepal just west of the Kanchenjunga circuit. We were the third recorded travellers to a village called Yangma before heading further west. We took solar lights for the villagers on behalf of Light Education Development. Following the climb we headed east over three passes to drop into Ghunsa.

Yes, we're working with Kids of Kathmandu. Here's a writeup from our last trip:
http://kidsofkathmandu.org/get-involved/

This was the first volunteer trip and it was just the two of us. Going back in March and we have 14 volunteers who want to help build a second school. Needless to say, we're pretty stoked about it!

Wow, that sounds awesome! Also great that you were able to give back to the village.

New addition to my M family.
M4 in Hammertone finish.
Youxin did a CLA on the M4 and installed the fresh painted top and bottom plates.
Shown here with my 50mm f2.0 "rare earth" Summicron.

Cool. A friend of mine owns KE Adventure Travel who have links with The Juniper Trust. Our trip was independent of his company though.

After vomiting at the sight of the Leica shops hammertone M-A, somehow this looks really nice. Maybe the self timer and frame selector in chrome break it up enough to hold the chrome lens? Whatever it is, I like it somehow

Ha Ha! Looks good!

Would you mind mounting the Nocti on your chrome M2 and post it here?
That would be the combination I would possibly use one day...

I plan to use the M6 with the Sonnar 50 f/1.5 and my Voigtländer Classic Heliar 75mm f/1.8 for available light shooting.

It's technically not my 'M' being depicted here but the M3s of my good friend Robert (right, with a rigid 50/2) and a very pleasant American (with a 35 Summaron I believe) who we ran into while shooting in The Hague a year or so ago. The American, whose name I have unfortunately forgotten (maybe someone recognises him?), was on his way to Italy with his wife to start a new chapter in their life together.

That's a beautiful photograph - love the entire different character portrait of the two gentleman down to the camera's neck straps.

Very interesting lens hood there (and a beautiful combo too - is that a Nikkor 50/2 ?).

Yep! It's a later Nikkor 5cm f/2 and the lens hood is an old Voigtlander one that was made for the Vitessa. Works pretty well for the lens actually!

And this is not a film camera, but that appears to be no problem in recent posts to this thread ...
