I asked such a question several years ago.

I have a film rangefinder with me every day.
Occasionally a film Nikon makes an appearance though.

Mainly LF Cambo Wide (both 4x5, 9x12 as well as few rolls of MF film with Sinar Zoom Back) and bit of compact LX100. Also few rolls in Nikon F5, few in Kiev 4a, few in Nikon FG20, and portraiture with D700. With in last month that is.

Digital Mirrorless, which means I had to check "Other" as this major group was curiously left off the list.

Mostly Leica rangefinder.

Or DSLR.

However, I did exercise a Rolleiflex the other day with TMax 100.

Thanks for putting this survey up Raid. It'll be interesting to watch the results.

Seems lately I've been shooting mostly family birthday parties at my house. A nice zoom point & shoot does the job well. I have a Pentax ESPIO 24EW 35mm film camera. Love that 24mm since I have non-movable walls at my house that can't be pushed back.

M240 and Ricoh GR - most of the other stuff is feeling a bit unloved! Bought a 10 pack of Portra so it's time to break out the M6 again.

DSLR. Been doing a bit of wildlife photography, esp. birds in flight so AF tracking and long lenses are necessities

It is interesting to attempt to measure what percentage at RFF are using film after all. I tried to allow all camera types in the poll. FrankS suggested to me to start this follow-up poll.

I returned to film by using my SWC in addition to using digital cameras (M8, M9, E-PL1, E-P2, LC1).

I only got my M9 a few months ago after having sold my M6 back in 2009. In the interim I was shooting on various DSLRs. Film just got too expensive for me to keep up with. I'm glad to be back to (semi) basics with M.

I marked large format but my foray into 4x5 has been limited to photo paper used in place of film so.....

Also marked 'other film camera' for my submini's a Minox IIIs and Minolta 16

I have favorite cameras, but tend to go out with something different each time, Raid. Format, AF, MF, RF, doesn't matter, I like to shoot them all.

This past 6 months;
M6 for about 50 rolls,
FE for 6 rolls (one specific project),
not many on my iPhone, maybe only 100 shots.

Raid, I assume you will be able to track trends of RFF members?

I used my SWC and Nikon FE2 a lot in Denver recently. In Estes Park I shot with Nikon FE2, FM3a, X100, and X20. And I used my XPAN in Estes Park and in Golden. Never touched my D700 or 500C/M! Can only do so much, I guess.

Most used recently is my Leica III/Serenar (copy of Summar) combination, next is the Leica M3/50 Sonnar and least is the Sony A7S/55 Sonnar.

Been using a new (to me) M9, an M8, and a recently acquired black Nikon F w/std prism. Though I take a black Leica III and 50mm Elmar with me to work every day.

Mostly been using Nikon F100 and my M6 is feeling neglected. Also occasional use of Olympus OM1N and Olympus Mju i and Mju ii film compacts. Curiously film compacts left off the poll so I ticked other.

I've shot almost entirely with my Canon 5DmkII this year. I've gotten more heavily into color photography, which the digital SLR excels at. Another thing is my health. I had a stroke almost 3 yrs ago, and over time since then, I've had trouble standing long periods, as I would when developing film, and I am tired all the time, too much so to bother scanning film.

I do need to fire up the scanner again, I have a huge backlog of film to scan, and I miss shooting black and white, but the way I feel most of the time, I am more productive shooting digital. I wish I could afford a black and white digital camera, but that's never going to happen.

My guess is that within a week or two, the poll will show 45% film and 55% digital for people who opted to take part in in it.
