Along the Silk Route one still finds caravan ' Sarayais '. Old time lodgings built by the town folk to lodge visiting caravans. This was generally free. Caravans meant business!! Some of these lodgings are now deluxe hotels.
While a few are reminders of times past..

Some nice shots Faris, reminds me of my last trip to Turkey 3 or 4 years ago. here's one of the old bazaar from then.

Hi there..

Indeed it is Sirince. We were heading down from the North from Amasara to Safronbolu to Cappadocia and the west. That would be another hundred pics!!

We chose to avoid Kusadasi and went up to Sirince. Much more to our liking
than the tourists and cruise ships there.

Such a smart decision - Kusadasi was such a lovely place in the 80s, but now it's just a total mess...
