Was going to sell it all, sell the Tech Master, and slowly sell off the rest of the 4x5 kit.

And then, BAM, I have two of them now, the Tech Master and a Tech V.

The buyer backed out of the Master deal. And a beautiful Tech V appeared at the local camera store, at a "pretty good price". Not a steal, but it was very nice, and I came home with it.

This GAS is gonna kill me.

Some of us are lucky.

I know of a guy whose friend's dad died and said friend asked him if he wanted his dad's old camera. Turned out to be a V with the Zeiss Ultima lens set and all the accessories. Nice guy said, thank you, and turned around and sold it for $5K.

Me? I traded my ST for a couple of strobes and a slide projector. But that was back when you could pick one up for $400-500.

Lucky maybe, but he can't have valued the friendship too highly.

That was my opinion. But then, some peoples' best friend is money.
