Anybody ever heard anything new on this beastie after the honkin' Steve Huff review? Is a MSRP even known today?

There have been plenty of problems. 1) users are finding that the focus goes out of alignment after a few weeks of use 2) the company doesn't respond to email inquires only those when a customer sends the the $4800 via PayPal 3) the company is unable to ship lenses without them going out of focus 4) almost everyone on forums and such that purchased this lens a couple months ago has since sold it or are in the process of selling it.

Conclusions where that optics are great, but mechanics and customer relations need improvement.

Right, thanks.

Sounds like a serious 'stay away' signal!

Focus was bound to have problems. I was shocked to hear they were moving so many lens elements inside ... It was bound for failure. Good for somebody adapting it on a digital body though, like a NEX or m4/3. But then, there is a $2-3K version that is not coupled, which has the same optics for digital backs.

I knew you could not a low-end lens manufactuer into the luxury arena. Fool's gold.
