What is a Hassy 500c/m with an * ?

What is a Hassy 500c/m with an * ?

There is one at my local store that is marked *500c/m on the name plate. What does that * mean?

The T* (star) is a multi coated lens...

He's talking about the body, not the lens.

If I recall correctly there's nothing particularly special about the ones with the star. It might have something to do with where the camera was sold originally.

Edit: Actually I think I just remembered. It's the model that was sold on the Japanese market.
