I came across this S3 2000 at a local camera shop a few months ago and had an instant urge to hold it in my hands. I haven't let go ever since. Hunting around for a nice S2 now!

Don't be jealous - ANY Nikon 105mm is a special one ;-)
The 105 AF-S is a unique lens though, I hardly had the chance to use it though as just a week after I got it I had a bad accident and some wheel chair time. Now I am restricted for a while to the lightweight gear - just right for the Nikon RF addiction ;-)

That's a wonderful combo!
I found I had to redo the Amedeo adapter with super light Japanese helicoid grease to get the most out of it (it was very heavy in stock and not playing nicely with the looooong focus throw).

This is my Nikon SP made in 1962 with a black Nikkor-H-C 5cm f/2, a generic vented hood and a Nikon AN-1 leather strap. Here I am being shot by a speech therapist in Toronto in March 2010, after our lunch on downtown Yonge Ave.

I took this photo with my Nikon S3 (classic) and a chrome Nikkor-H-C 5cm f/2 on Fuji Provia 100F.

Much time has gone by since - but I still have the Nikons...

Nikon sp story

I sold this camera to keh at one of their buying events perhaps 5 years ago ,
they tried to sell at auction several times , and kept reducing the price on their website , finally it was gone .
I struck up a friendship with another rff member in Pittsburg who lived near my father there , he had bought the camera from keh .
he later agreed to trade it , the sp body , for an s3 olympic black body and a close to mint Nikon sp chrome body.

its my basic shooting kit now with the 5cm f1.4 , and 2.8cm f3.5 . I have an old Leica mr meter I carry also .

only here on rff could something like this happen
