Summilux 25/1.4 on E-PL1

I used my 25/1.4 with the E-PL1 for some snapshots. I like how this lens works with the E-PL1.

Is this the Summilux DG (the smaller late model designed for the M4/3) or the earlier large D model designed for the original Olympus 4/3 cameras? Both are excellent.

I have the earlier much larger one and use it with the Olympus AF 4/3 to M4/3 adapter. Despite its AF being a tiny bit slower at times it is a cracker of a lens and I love it. I am a lover of large lenses which helps. This lens and the stock 14-50 lens which came with the original Panasonic L1 are part of my ensemble for my M4/3 cameras as well as some native M4/3 lenses. They are all excellent lenses - including by the way two Sigma lenses (the 30mm f2.8 and 60mm f2.8) for this camera type. My only dilemma is that I prefer longer lenses so use this lens less than I should. While I have an EPL-2 and sometimes use these larger older lenses for that I have to admit they better suit the Olympus OM D EP5 with its battery grip and hand grip added.

This is the small version for the M 4/3. I prefer using longer lenses on the E-PL1 or E-P2.
