CCTV - Fujian 5cm f1.4

Wonder if it's worth listing!
I've just posted a Gallery pic using one.

Ok, John, just added it to the list as a "CCTV" category/mount lens. Thanks for the suggestion!

i have hit a brick wall with flickr so will be going back to the gallery to post pics.

Lenses that I would like to see added are(not sure on all the details):

Leica 50mm/f1.4 ( the version before the most recent one)

Nikon 50mm/f1.2 (manual focus

Nikon 24-70mm/f2.8 (autofocus - please forgive me)

Cheers

Helen

Hi Helen... I'll be glad to make sure your lenses are on the list, but I do need those pesky details... I will need the text on the lens that identifies it.

There are already three Leica 50mm f/1.4 on the list, the current Summilux ASPH and two previous ones distinguished by different filter thread sizes. One of these is probably yours.

On the list there are two different Nikon 50mm f/1.2, one noted as "noct"; perhaps yours is the "plain" one.

No Nikon zooms on the list yet. This can be added, given lens details.

The idea is to be broadly consistent, and clear on the labeling so we have accurate and organized data.

Hi Johnny - Is that an M-mount lens or screw-mount? Here are the three Leica 135mm lenses already on the list; might yours be the first below? If not please give me exact info off the lens.

Tele-Elmar 135mm f/4 (M mount)
APO-Telyt 135mm f3.4 ASPH (M mount)
Hector 13.5cm f/4.5 (LTM)

Thank you, gents! Lenses have been added as follows, consistent with other lenses for the same (or related) systems.

Fujinon 27mm f/2.8 XF (Fuji X)
Fujinon 18-55mm f/2.8-4.0 XF (Fuji X)

Steinheil Cassar 105mm f/6.3 (Adox Start)
Voigtlander 105mm / f3,5 Color Skopar (Voigtlander Bessa II)

Olympus Zuiko Digital 11-22mm f2.8-3.5 (Olympus 43)
Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 70-300mm f4-5.6 (Olympus 43)

Oddly, these are the only Four-Thirds system lenses on the list... all others are Micro Four-Thirds.

Lynn, you may have an unusual camera... Looking online I see some models like the Isolette II offered a 75mm f/3.5 Solinar lens, but not on the Isolette I. The only Agnar shown for any Isolette model is a 85mm f/4.5

Can you verify?

thanks for picking up my error Doug!

The lens is the Agfa Agnar 1:4.5 / 85 (a really nice portrait lens btw, with just the right amount of softness to please the women-folk. Now, if only I could find that bellows light leak..).

Thanks, Lynn... Ok, now listed as Agfa Agnar 85mm f/4.5 for AGFA, to be consistent with other listings in the same category.

and I added a pair of f/2.8 21mm lenses too...
Thanks!

Hi -- Would that be the Industar-10? I understand this lens was the older standard FED lens and marked as FED 50mm.

The "improved" versions are already in the list:
Industar-22 f3.5 50mm
Industar-50 f3.5 50mm

Q: I suppose there are some inconsistencies in the corresponding CAMERA list; I've seen some doublettes (like «"Canon" XYZ» vs. «CANON xyz»), and I've seen some annoying typos like «Voightländer, Voigthlander», Voigtlaender», etc.

I know it's certainly a boring chore, but I guess a more consistent list would be much more useful.
Yes, I've seen those... distressing! But I suspect the erroneous designations are used with uploaded gallery photos already, so correcting them on the list would mess up a search... they would not come up in a search of the corrected designation. At some point I hope we have a means to make global changes in the gallery to straighten this out!

BTW, "Voigtlander", "Voigtländer", and "Voigtlaender" are all correct to some, depending on the language and how it’s transliterated, and each is more or less incorrect to other folks! Inserting an "h" after the "g" is always incorrect... Agree that settling on one for the list would be useful however...

Doug,
I really don't know. my lens is in good condition. I think it may have been a refurbished model. I'll use one of the Induistar designations.

Thanks

Hi Doug,

Could you please add these SLR Nikkors:

AF Nikkor 50mm f1:1.8 D
AF Micro Nikkor 60mm f1:2.8

Nikkor-P Auto 1:2.5 f=105mm
Nikkor-S Auto 1:2 f=5cm Nippon Kogaku silver nose 9-bladed aperture (this is an early Nikkor sold with the 1959 Nikon F)

Also I suspect it would be desirable to identify the various versions of the Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 lenses, e.g.:
Nikkor-S Auto 1:1.4 50mm silver nose non-AI
Nikkor 50mm f1:1.4 non-AI

I realise this may be a bit of a minefield task given the large number of variants of Nikkor lenses!

thanks
Lynn

Hi Lynn -- This does raise again the question of how general and how detailed the lens listing should be. Generalizing makes searches (and posting) easier but less informative, detailed just the opposite. So far it's been on the general side. Of course one can add more specific lens identification in the Photo Notes area when uploading if desired.

With different numbers of diaphragm blades, variations in optical formulations, etc, more detailed lens info will be of use and interest to some. You're right, it's a minefield! Where do we want to go with this?

I've added the 60 Micro and 1.8/50 D
We do already have general listings for F lenses:
Nikon 105mm f2.5
Nikon 50mm f2.0
Nikon 50mm f1.4

Hi Lynn -- The list has "Olympus Zuiko MC Auto-S 50mm f/1.8", is that close enough?

The lens list under Voigtlander Vito lists a Color-Skopar 50mm f/3,5 - that might be my error, my Vito has a f/2.8, not 3.5. Meanwhile I've kludged and used the Vitessa 50/2.8 lens from the list, which I assume is the same optical formula.

My Vitomatic 1a also has the same 50mm f2.8 Color-Skopar.

Thanks for adding the other lenses Doug
