Another shot from the archive, same journey as previous with the Leica x1. The face of the boy on the bicycle has been blurred in PS even if not so visible in small size.

Let's go slightly OT here: Should a person who likes his X100 get an X1? I really like the shots here, not only for the vision but also for the quality. Will I see an improvement with the X1? I really like the optical finder in the X100, and the X1 doesn't have one. But still . . .

Robert,
Nice that you still have that X1 up and purring. Thanks for sharing, these are very nice.

Rob-F I went from X100S to the X 113. And I had the X1 in the past. They are all good and different. If you enjoy having the ovf, stay with that, X100 is a great camera. If that is not so important, and you are looking for a change, the Leicas are a joy to use and the DNG files nice to work with as well.

Robert, the vomposition caught my eye and, of course. the man behind the lens made a great addition to the set of photos from that trip. Thanks for posting.

Now I have CCAG.....cuckoo clock gas! Brings back lots of memories of the first German click we bought when we were first married.

Thanks for the comments, it's interesting to review our own files a few years later...these are from 2011

Rob-F : I have an optical viewfinder on my x1, never tried a Fuji X so I have no idea how to compare...

There are many cuckoo clocks around, most of them have inside electronic made in Japan, are very nice but in my opinion not 100% original! The ones I like (but not yet bought!) are simple and pure mechanical inside!

In Friburg there are many small water canals, built in the old times as prevention against the fire. Oft the are between the road and the sidewalk. When walking, specially if you are a tourist looking all around you have to be careful not to walk inside one of them! Specially if you are a photographer looking for that special frame

Hi Dave, photos have been taken a few years ago.
From Wikipedia it seems the oldest headstone is from 1439, the most recent is dated 1787
Because of the fact they weren't allowed to buy more place in order to enlarge the cemetery there are around 10 different layers under the ground

Superb, Joe!

I love the subject and composition, but I am drawn especially toward the contrast in the image, great work as usual, well done!

Thanks Dave. Yes, I worked the toning and contrast in LR on this one, as I do with most images.

100% agree with Dave, great framing and good not invasive postproduction
