35 summicron v1 value?

Hi,

I have the 35mm summicron v1 goggled lens in excellent condition in the original leather carrying case. This is the Wetzlar (not Canada) version. I am wondering the approximate value of this lens. 8 element made in 1966. See link below for pictures.

Howsoever one prefers to define «excellent» …

in Europe I wouldn't expect more than EUR 800~900.

It depends on the market but I would expect around $2500~$3000 for an excellent condition V1 Wetzlar.

I would still expect upwards of £1500. It may be of value to look for a commission sale with a Dealer. Where are you located? If in the UK, Peter Loy is my recommendation.

Well, that's probably the price for which an accredited professional dealer will sell it; but: they'll buy it for (at its best!) the sum I mentioned above
