Olympus 35RD

Hi all, I'm not sure how much attention gets paid to the WTB forum so I wanted to put something up here as well (feel free to remove if not appropriate).

I've been chasing a clean and functional 35RD without much luck, and I was wondering if anyone here had something available or could point me in the right direction? I'm happy to pay for something in good shape with evidence that it's had film run through, CLA'd would be great but isn't critical.

Cheers, Nick

Oddly enough, I just saw one listed over at APUG. Check the FS forum for a post titled "FS: Olympus OM system".

I would prefer an RD, although I hope very much you are healthy come September!

I paid quite a bit to have one professionally CLA'd a while ago. It had sticky blades again about two years later. Be careful about spending too much on on - even a working model. Due to the design, its hard to know how long it'll stay working.

I have a RD that went for a CLA about 2 years ago, and seems to work well. I only run a test roll in this camera and it went well. I am not using this RD, as I prefer the SP, and my wife wants me to have less cameras. If you want the RD just let me know and we can arrange a deal.

The technician replaced the original lever of the delayed release, which was broken, with a similar one from some other Oly. The new lever is not identical to the original. Otherwise the camera (I think) is clean. I can send you more pictures, in any case.

An image from the roll,

I probably live far from you, but our mail service is good. If you are interested please send me a PM.

I used to own a nice and well functioning RD but then sold it to a friend of mine. I'm sure he still has it. It's a great camera although a little front heavy b/c of that mighty lens.

I played with a Yashica Lynx 14 the other day, now that's a front heavy camera

Thanks for everyone's help in my 35rd search, we were successful (thanks Robert).

I'll post some photos when I get a few rolls developed.
