All hail the Panaleica 25

My 25/1.4 arrived from Adorama last night. The lens is a steal for $600, even better than expected. A 50/1.4 that's sharp from wide open - such a change from Canikon. Combined with the E-M5, it's hard to imagine a better combo.

First shot from last night, my girlfriend's "why is that damn camera out again" face.

This is easily my favourite lens with this camera. Super fast autofocus, it eats light, and it just feels solid. Very sharp, clean images. I love it.

Try another with her... at that close distance, I'd close down to f/2.8 and focus on the eye.. the eye lashes should be crisp and well defined.

If this your 1st fast lens for your m4/3, a bit of practice at f/1.4 and a tight head shoot should have sharper results, but at f/2.8, you'll still have a few inches of DOF, so the eye will be as you imagine it should be.

I would like this lens also... maybe at tax refund time next year. I'd sell my 20mm at that point.
