So I was going thru some 1979-87 Magazines for Camera Ads

Started scanning a bunch of the pages, basically removing the staples so I wouldn't have to cut/tear any of the sheets, along with some other scans I'm using for an upcoming collage.

The full album of the camera gear scans can be seen here : http://imgur.com/a/3G316

Here's a select few (The album above has 50 scans):

During the 80s, these ads and others were a source of daydream inspiration and diversion from life as a high school student. Thanks for taking the time to scan them!

It's interesting to see again how extensive and impressive the lens collections were from all the brands. And to see how it has changed over the last ~30 years. Really, it's only Canon and Nikon now with similar range of in-house lens options. But 3rd party options now are definitely competing at a higher level.

At that age, especially the Leica ad!

But by then I was married. And to be honest, I've seen better bums.... (buns I suppose in American).

Cheers,

R.
