Why I am attracted to the Ricoh GRD4?
Because it fits in my pocket.

i'd sure like to handle one of those and the samsung nx200.

The Ricoh lens goes into body when off. This make it fit easily in your pocket. The Samsung NX200 does not.

The GRD4 is a true grit machine. It does fit in a jeans pocket with room to spare....

I had the 3 for a while but find the 4 to be somewhat more responsive. The processing engine seems different also but both are excellent.

I just bought a GRD IV about a week ago and I like it so far. Great picture modes and the AF is pretty quick. The macro mode is a great feature too. If you have used a GR film camera, the usage is about the same. I use the camera with the optical viewfinder mostly and I have pretty good results with it so far.
I use the GXR-M for serious shooting, or when I want to really focus, photographically. The GRD IV is for fun and daily use. I can see sticking with one or the other, but different situations call for different cameras.
I'll be traveling to Mexico in August for a few days and I plan on bringing the GRD, and maybe another camera. We'll see if the GXR makes it.

Sorry about being late to reply but I have been out with the GRD4 a lot. The GXR and A12 units are resting....
