Copal shutter: gotta love it

So a little over a year ago now I discovered the Nikkormat FTn and I loved the camera from the get go. I grew up a Minolta user and still use them a lot, but this camera, with its (by comparison) silky smooth advance and more appealing sounding shutter, was an improvement over the SRT 101. Just today I pulled out my Minolta XE-7 which is my usual summer time SLR for color film. Before I loaded it, I did my usual thing of playing with the advance and shutter for a while and I instantly recogized that, even smoother, shutter advance. It was when I compared the advance to my Minolta XK, I realized how nice that Copal shutter is. I still love all aspects of my Nikkormat, but I am also a big fan of Copal shutters.
