Leica M9 + Summicron 35/2 v1 in Italy

I decided to bring my M9/Cron 35/2 v1 to my vacation in Italy. Due to luggage capacity, I could not bring one of my film cameras. I visited Rome, Florence and Venice (and their surroundings). Here are some shots I took:

Beautiful. Doesn't look crowded at all. Donatello's David had more people around when I was last there, 31 years ago.

The B&W set show what a fine performer the M9 is and what a good photographer you are.

You were able to pull out nice shadow detail in that B&W shot of the Coliseum.

Thanks, I think I owe that to the fact that I have been shooting film for the last couple of years. The B&W jpgs are straight out of the camera.

I actually didn't know that the M9 had such nice b/w out of the camera. That's pretty cool. There may be some extra good synergy with the v1 cron.

It is as good as the M8 for B&W. The cron v1 never lets me down either.

I agree that the B & W jpegs out of the M9 are underestimated: they're really nice, although not often as nice as these of course.
