Wow! I'm looking for adapter for M39 to Start bajonet. But I can not find it for a reasonable price.

I've just picked up a nice condition Kiev-4 with Jupiter-8M. I didn't like the feel of the original black pleather so have re-skinned it in grey alcantara;

Just bought on eBay, looking forward to seeing if it is as good as the seller says. Supposed to be a user. We'll see.

My New Toy

My Contax IIIa shutter has become unreliable. I thought I take a chance on an eBay Kiev, to act as a body for my Zeiss and Nikkor "c" lenses. It arrived in 'as described' condition and appears to work well. I had run loo of film, but do not/not yet have the pics.

They seem to be very rare. Almost as rare as the Jupiter 9 in M39 mount for Zenit.

Be patient and keep on searching.

Meanwhile I could find a Jupiter 9 for early Zenit and also a 8.5cm finder for Jupiter 9 on Zorki/Kiev.

Unfortunately the focusing screen on my Start is misaligned. All images are out of focus. Need to find a method to adjust it.

I will Check my other Start if the focus is OK on it.

Waiting long enough and being patient not to buy overpriced items I finally completed my Start.

I could find the Jupiter 9 in M39 Zenit mount and a WLF for the start.

To be on topic again, I placed the start between 2 rangefinders. All fitted with the matching Jupiter 9.

The Jupiter 9 Trio

I do not need the M42 version because I can use the ZM39 version with the M42 adapter.
