In addition: Last Monday Leica presented their "real" products for the Photokina 2008 (what you can buy from October(?) in a shop) .
Tomorrow they will give an outline of the frame parameters on future Products which will appear till Photokina 2010 (new lenses, the fabulous "S2", perhaps something about the dCL )

Judging by the title, maybe Johnny Mnemonic-style memory implants?

Don't see why they would lie . . . And, as I commented in this post, it makes perfect sense for Leica.

answer : it's a 34MP Reflex, named "Leica S2", with both a focal plane and a curtain shutter, on which you can mount numerous lenses, out of which 10 are new Leica lenses. impressive!

The just-announced medium-format Leica S2 will feature sensor, software, and firmware developed by the experienced engineers of Phase One and will be distributed exclusively through Phase One channels.
This promises the quality and sophistication of Leica with the engineering prowess and medium-format experience of Phase One.

At the cost of 20,000 euros, of course.

Not that bad, considering it's the body alone.
