questions about DIY vertical adjustment

I have an M9 that I just received, unfortunately both horizontal and vertical needs adjusting. I tweaked horizontal last night, I have it more or less optimized (not perfect) for most of my lenses. I might give the vertical adjustment a try tonight. I have the special Zhou tool for M4p/M6, I bought it but never used it on my M4p.

If I understand it correctly (from reading stuff on the internet), the steps for adjusting vertical are:
1. remove red dot (carefully)
2. loosen the glue on the RF "screw" with a drop of acetone.
3. make adjustments with the tool, check at infinity
4. here's the part I'm not clear on - do I need to re-glue the RF screw after I'm finished? If so, what glue should be used?
5. Close up the hole with the red dot.

Does that sound about right?

I'm interested in the answer. On older M's, I never re-sealed the adjustment, and never had a problem.

I went ahead and did it tonight. I did not re-glue the thingie, I'm a little worried that not re-gluing will make it more prone to be knocked out of whack.

How stiff was the adjustment? If it was stiff, then, it's going to stay in place.

It was pretty stiff - I used a tiny bit of nail polish remover.
