I am soo tempted.. So Bay IV!!! So that means my Bay III Rollinars will not fit? Then perhaps with the closer focus distance they are not so much needed.

Has anyone seen the Rollei Bay IV filter adapter which lets you shift the filter from one lens to another?

I know nothing about Rollei models beyond the FX and FW I use. I'd only seen two before I got mine, both very old models. Could the faceplate have been replaced at some point? I really don't know. If you're buying to use is there a difference?

Have you written to breugetcamera? He is very responsive to email & ebay messages. I'd ask him directly if I had any concerns.

Never. That could come in handy as the meter cell is via the top lens. Tho the filter can be put on that lens if needed.

I had one before. VERY hard to find. I think they were made for Series IV only. You slip it over the two lenses and lock it in. You then attach the filter to it and slide it to the top for metering and the bottom for picture taking.

This is a great news.

I am not going to buy a new rollei anytime soon, but may do that some day (should I drop 4x5" one day - wait - I just bought used Toyo VX125 )

It looks great indeed - already the very last (to be found new on ebay with black edges - which is by the way not FX-N) was/is amazing - I am curios about the improvements in the new one. I do hope however that the shutter remained mechanically controlled.

EDIT: I have just read over at photoscala.de that the new Rollei FX-N will be able to focus down to 0.55 m (!) Now THAT is something. The rest of the specifications should remain more-less unchanged from the previous model.

I am actually pretty interested in this camera. Having a built in light meter would of course makes this a little more handy to use, but it was never a good enough reason to let go of my 2.8E. But with it being a new camera and the closer focus ability I am giving it a second thought.
Looking forward to seeing some sample pictures. So no hood included in the package and my bay III accessories I also assume will not fit? Are bay IV accessories rare? Damm this gas

Correct me if I am wrong. I think the Rolleiflex FX model on the breguetcamera is not the latest 2012-year version albeit the lens is Apogon?
According to the link below, it mentioned the new Rolleiflex is called FX-N with capability to choose down to 55cm.
http://photorumors.com/2012/09/11/ne...mod2-and-fx-n/

Does anyone owned a the Rolleiflex FX with S-Apogon? Keen to know how is the performance and feedback.
Cheers!

Auto loading! The "new" Rolleis don't have that, being based on the Rolleicord..
Rolleicorders you can now walk tall!
I thought they were based on the T?

I could buy and process a LOT of film for $5,000. But then like with the new "M'''s and a Rolls Royce, if you have to ask . .. ... you can't afford it.

This image would say the FX-N is different. FX with the S-Apogon and 1 meter.

The original dies were thrown out by Rollei at some point! The new Rolleis are based on Rolleicords..i handled one of the "new" ones, back in 1999? in LA. I found it stiff and awful to use.Felt like i was pushing the shutter thru sheet metal. i was almost lynched at the other forum site.. Soon others mentioned the poor feel. I guess at the NEW and BIG price, they will feel like a precision product. For me the format, the usage of film, too much bother.
Anyway my Automat is still smooth, beautiful and working for that odd roll or two. The DSLR looks stunning but again not for me.
