Well, at that price the lens will be little more than a plastics meniscus, and far from being up to the format - but a primitive 6x12 film holder and strut mechanism alone might be worth the money for everybody who has considered hacking a 6x12 frankencamera from two ancient folders.

Would a 4x5 lens work on it, or maybe my 47mm lens for XLSW?

I was thinking plastic triplet at best.
Since there are two lenses, I could not c how they were changing the distance of the folder extension for 58 vs 90. Depending on type of adjustment, this could help the frankencamera a lot .. But the lens attachment is a three prong baynet, which could involve a bit of a hack .

I kinda got turned off by the word Lomography...after I read that I wasn't expecting too much from this camera...looking at the Gallery I saw what I was expecting...I don't need a camera that ruins the occasional shot....

On the Phoblographer site, they mention a Russian high quality lens being released in the future.
I don't know why this camera is tempting me. I own a 6x9 and already dislike shooting only 8 exp. I'd probably dislike 6x12. I should just look for a nice 6x6 folder w/rangefinder and buy that instead. Any one have recommendations?

Use ILOVELOMO as your promo code. 10% off the already 30% off. The silver one is then $189 with shipping.

If you like Lomo or not, they do keep coming up with interesting, quirky film based stuff. I love my Spinner 360 to death. And this seems like a lot of fun...

From the gallery examples this new camera seems to have the film frame spacing charm of my Kiev 60 camera.

Utterly fantastic!!! Well done!
Any light leak issues? Does it keep the film plane straight? It must be easy to travel with right?

The only difference between the three is the finish, right?

Is it really metal outer shell, or just plastic with metallic spray on coat? It has a faux leather covering too which I suppose raises the cost.

The Belair is apparently in the post to me already, on its way... I have a load of expired film waiting to use up/waste on this!

She's a beauty!
It feels pretty solid for a plastic camera, it's certainly no Holga. Shown along side a Bessa L, it's not that huge either.

Gary, mine should arrive tomorrow. I got an email a few days ago saying that it was shipped, along with a link to the UPS tracking system. I can follow where the camera is.
I'm looking forwards to shooting with it over the winter.

It's a cool concept but I think I'll pass until they'll get that high quality Russian lens sorted out. But I will surely keep an eye on this.

A couple of questions:
- where is the camera manufactured
- where is the lens manufactured
- what is the lens (& lens mount) made of
Thanks
