Thank you!

Nope, just a regular M8 shot. I'm not a HDR fan really.

Ouch, ouch, ouch. Chris Rose that first one on the beach is utterly stunning. It has that Sonnar three dimensional effect. The location, light and your skills were worthily abetted by the Planer.

I wold think that planar is a bit too harsh for portraits... Unless its young models with flawless skin. Sonnar would be more suited i would think...

High praise! Thank you sir, certainly one of my favourite captures to date, and one that's secured my admiration of the Planar.

One of a series shot with Zeiss lenses about community gardens (allotments) in Scotland. Taken at f2.8.

The series, in four parts, can be found on my blog (below).

Katiuska is pure Cuban although her parents gave her a Russian name. She lives down the street from where I stay in Havana. I consider her a good friend as she is a great mother and honest as can be. She graduated from college and used to teach school but could not support for her mother and son on a teachers pay. Katiuska is unashamed of her job in an unofficial segment of the tourist industry where she makes more on a date than a Cuban doctor does in a month because she says she only goes out with people she likes.

She wears basically no makeup although she is in her mid 30's. I made this photo one afternoon while we were having a beer. I tell her that she would not be able to understand how much some American women pay doctors to try to have her lips, cheek bones and complexion.
