Mine just arrived, so here's a really rushed shot while I was waiting for the train home. I'm impressed for such an old camera! Need to get used to the VF though, the RF patch isn't as forgiving with regards to eye position as my M4.

This thread has caused me to look at the oldest RD1 photos in my Lightroom collection. The following are from the autumn of 2006 at a point on the South Carolina escarpment called bald rock. Prayer, promises, and pleas are often painted upon the mountain. Here are a few. (rd1s + industar 61 ld)

@Kin York:

those are good images , do you have some post-processing ? and what lens do you use ? with R-D1 , the color characteristic of the R-D1 really clearly ? (I'm using M4/3 and can not see the "soul" color of lens)

Just realised that my R-D1's RF is out of whack... Need to get that hotshoe off and adjust it, I was wondering why my lenses weren't as sharp as they should be! Anyway, impressive DR here, managed to lift the shadows and recover the highlights outside pretty nicely.
