Speed Graphic Shutters

I'm looking for instructions/manual on how to shoot with a Speed Graphic 4x5 camera

How do I set the camera up to use the lens/leaf shutter?

How do I set the camera up to use the focal plane shutter?

Thanks Mike

General info: http://graflex.org/

Manuals: http://www.southbristolviews.com/ (link on left side of main page); also http://www.butkus.org/chinon/graflex.htm

You have a camera already?

Basically you need to use either the lens shutter or the focal plane shutter, and the one you're not using needs to be left open.

Chris,
Thank for the links to the manuals and websites.

Purchased the camera+ 9 film holders over the internet so don't have it yet, It comes with 14 day review period so I'm trying to familiarize myself with as much info as possible before it gets here. Have already checked out youtube videos on loading and unloading the film backs and will be order a Changing room/bag and 4x5 day light tank, plus other stuff from Calumet and Freestyle, today or tomorrow. Going to start out with a couple 25 sheet boxes of Arista Ultra 200. That way I can take some test shots right away and make sure everything is working OK.

OK - you really need it in your hands and playing with all the controls. When it arrives, post a pic, and we can go into details. Lots to learn - many ways to stuff it up! Have fun!

Edit: most important control is the one that opens it - a hidden button on top at the front, feel for the little bump under the covering.

Will send pics when it arrives
Been watching some videos on youtube which pointed out the lil bump/button for opening the front.
