Thanks Gregory.

At the moment I only have the 12-50mm kit lens and the Panasonic 20mm f1.7, which I picked up the same day I took these as I didn't like the handling of the kit lens without the battery grip (on its way but taking a long time to get here!) Everything I shot the other day ended up being on the 20mm f1.7.

I've also got the Zuikon 12mm f2 on its way which I'm looking forward to receiving, otherwise its all old Zuiko MF lenses via the adapter.

As for settings ...it took me so long to work my way through the various menus and set the camera up I'm a little lost as to whereabouts I am exactly. Essentially I'm using Aperure priority, RAW and everything set to standard but I'm keeping an eye out for advice on good working set-ups.

Greg, I need to check out the M4/3 lens range in a little more depth. Until recently I was one of those who wrote off, foolishly, the M4/3 system.

Helen - thank you, though I'm not sure how you realised he was actually crying, advanced emotional intelligence is what I'll put it down to. I took a quick shot and asked if he was ok but of course I probably caused more embarrassment than anything else!

Nice shots, Simon! It doesn't surprise me that you've gravitated to the Pany 20/1.7. This thread just increases my GAS for the OMD...

I had thought I'd get the 25mm 1.4 Leica branded jobbie but having used the 20mm I see no need, I also quite like the extra room of the 40mm view. I understand your GAS, I'm going to get a second body!

Gregory, I meant to ask, are you shooting mono in-camera or cinverting RAW?

EM-5, 40-150/4-5.6 M. Zuiko R and pop art filter for the shot on the right. The filter produces amazing colors making the normally muted red ferns in the grass become ultra vibrant.

The young blue heron was taken with the same camera and pop art filter using a 600/4 Nikkor with polarizer. Note that the colors are not outrageous but gives a pleasantly vibrant rust color to the birds neck.
