What are you trying to talk yourself out of?

I noticed this morning that the "What have you just bought?" thread now has 1,893 posts. In the meantime I am trying to fight off GAS at the moment and am trying to talk myself out of my eternal lust for a Noctilux. I know I don't need it as I should be satisfied with my 35mm 1.2II and 50mm 1.1 Noktons...

So.... What are you thinking of buying but find yourself trying to rationalise yourself out of at the moment?

Leica M8

I know it got some bad "press" lately (availability of parts) but I still want one.

EDIT: I failed, just bought a M8 5 minutes ago.

A Harman Walker Titan. I just handled one in a store yesterday and I want it (although desire and ability to pay do not always intersect).

Selling off all my Nikon DSLR gear and buying a Fuji X100 or XE1.
If I get the XE1, I could keep and use my CV15mm.

Leica M9 really really want one but sure I can justify it given the cost and how little I'm shooting these days. Could try and tell myself I'd shoot more if bought it but not so sure of that given the fact that not around here really motivates me to go out and shoot.

Trying to ignore / avoid listings for Bessa III and GW690III.

I don't need them, I can do the same without them.

Wish I had a local store with things like that to handle! Sure it would be bad, but in such a good way....

To go with the original post topic - trying to talk myself out of a 4x5 monorail and field camera, and stocking up on film heavily.

I'm trying to get three of my digicams onto eBay. Keep finding lots of excuses not to do the pictures or the blurbs...

A Leica R lens for use in my only DSLR body, Canon EOS 400D. I'm still wondering if it is worth doing that or not.

A Leica M6...
...the only thing between she and me is the lack of places for developing film here in Mozambique.
In the meantime, I will have to be satisfied with my RD-1s. Easier to develop in my Mac

I'm sitting here on a Sunday morning trying to talk myself out of buying a complete Mamiya AFD system---is it the right thing to do? Reading all the doom & gloom about film makes me think that selling film gear is smarter than buying film gear.

I can always buy a digital back, but that is a huge investment. Admittedly, a digital back (with adapters) would fit a 645AFD, my RB67s, and my RZ67s.

Also trying to GOMA and put up a Nikon S2 on ebay.

I bought a black dial S2 but it has a "not as good" finder as my chrome dial S2. But I want a good finder and black dial features.

When I get GAS, it's extremely painful. I've been lusting for digital MF without selling a kidney. Maybe a Pentax 645D, or a Contax 645 and a digital back?

Any thoughts?

Another LF camera. I don't really have the time to use them as much as I like, and I have enough already, but started falling for the Arca's...
Compared to Leica stuff, it actually seems somewhat reasonable...right?

An Hasselblad 500C/M + 80mm f/2.8 Planar, to replace my ailing Rolleiflex SLX. I've cheated slightly by picking up the PQS version of the Rollei 80mm Planar to go with my 6003*; that plus the far more civilised film loading should make up for the increased weight compared to the Hassie.

* (The 6003 is an SRC 1000, so the lens should work without damaging it)
