Both times I have bought a Pentax 6x7 the cameras came with the factory strap. Try a Want To Buy in the classifieds here. Or KEH. Or ebay.
Contact Eric. He may have one. Great service on repairs also.

Shot with Pentax 67, 105mm 2.4 (love this lens!), and Acros 100.

So far I started my P76II kit with a late 55/4.0 and late 105/2.4.

Also have the hot shoe grip and will be placing an order for more stuff later today.

Now my big Fuji's that have inter-changable lenses don't seem that big or heavy. LOL.

Ah, the GAS... Are these really so good cameras that no one is selling them, only buying? I've had my eye on the classifieds for a "nice little Pentax", but there seems to be none popping in?

www.KEH.com would be one place to look.

Pentax 67ii with 165mm f/2.8 (late), Kodak Portra 400 scanned on Epson 750. Was amazed at how the colors came out, this is literally straight out of Silverfast 6.6Ai using the Portra 400VC profile.

Shot the Mermaid Parade with My P67II and 105/2.4 Saturday. Used a slim Nikon Polarizer to kill 1 1/2 stops with 100 ISO and Later 50 ISO color slide to be able to keep shooting wide open.

Shot some more Sunday and got a lot faster reloading film.

Learned that securing a 5P cable by itself is hard or impossible if you need the ultra short connector for the Hot Shoe Grip to enjoy TTL flash metering provided by the AE prism. Best to buy the cable with the grip. I was lucky and able to return my first grip without a cable, and found a brand new one in original unsold condition in factory wrapping that included the cable.

Also secured a AF500FTZ for a $100.00 with case and instructions.

Somehow secured a 75/2.8 AL off EBAY for $1002.00 plus shipping. Already bought the hood from the same vendor and if its any indication of the condition of the lens its basically new. I feel like my dream came true and know that I'm a lucky guy.

Interesting note is that the Tulip style hood employs a removable trap door so that a polarizer and hood can be used at the same time. BTW I find that the Hot Shoe Grip comes in handy when shooting vertically. I can grip it with three fingers and focus, but it adds nearly half a pound to the camera.

New toy arrived and I am blaming all of you Did not have time to shoot anything big yet so my kids had to do... Both of these are done with a 90mm and I also have a couple of rolls to develop shot with a 55mm... I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship...

Show off! Grinning.
I want an L-plate. Do you like the Kirk? I have the same RRS head. Question: Would the L-bracket work with the earlier Pentax 6x7? Has anyone tried?

I works great with the older Pentax 6X7. You need to remove it to replace the battery.

Kirk has discontinued them, but they are still in stock at B&H and Adorama.

Confirmed. Kirk plate works fine on the older models even though it says it is for the 67ii.

Pentax 6x7 with TTL Prism
Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 6x7 300mm F/4
B+W 82mm 022 yellow filter
Henjar H-101 Arca plate
Really Right Stuff BH-55 Ball Head

The Henjar (krosno65 on eBay) H-101 Arca plate is the best one for long lenses since it allows you to balance the rig on the ball head. You can see here the balance point for the lens/camera combination is in front of the camera body. Since this plate projects out in front of the camera body it allows you to fasten it at the balance point for any lens.

Cool Pentax 45mm lens

I also posted these in the "White" thread. One of my favorite threads.
Technobabble: Pentax 6x7 MLU. 45mm/4.0 Super Takumar. Kodak Portra 160 VC. Epson Expression 1680 scanner. B&W conversions in PS4 with TLR Actions.

Midway, Texas. Abandoned service stations and/or general store.

Cool Waterway. The Woodlands. Texas

Going on two years ago, a few friends & myself spent a great day in The Woodlands. One friend & I were using medium format cameras & film as we sometimes do on these "Film Walks".
Last night, for reasons known only to the inner workings of what's left of my brain, I finally finished a photo from that day.
The particulars: Handheld Pentax 6x7 | 150mm/2.8 SMC Takumar | Kodak Ektar 25, ASA 25 film | Epson Expression 1680 | Developed by Lightroom 3.6 | 2 frame composite by Microsoft ICE
Too bad digital can't do ASA 25.

Click this small view for a larger view.

Thanks for looking. C&C always appreciated.
