Simon, I like all of these a lot. The "Glasgow Women's Library" looks like it was made with a glass plate camera back in the late 1800's. Absolutely beautiful! How did you get that look?

Thanks Jamie. I use Silver Efex Pro to convert to black and white. The "Glasgow Women's Library" was done using the 'Antique Plate 1' preset - it is obviously a good preset as it is supposed to mimic a glass plat photograph from the late 1800's!

Here are some other examples (not all are the same preset)...

Cheers
Simon

Simon,
Sorry to get back to these so late. I like very much how you are matching the presets to subject matter. Well done. Post more when you have a chance, please. :-)

Cross posted from the X100 images thread...

I'm really loving this camera for black and white. I feel as though I have the settings dialed in nicely at this point, with only some contrast tweaks in post afterward.

I love this little camera, and combining it with Silver Efex Pro has really been great for me.

And my first attempt to B&W portrait with X100. A friend of mine asked me if I could take a portrait of his wife... I took my X100 and here's the result. I might work a bit more on postprocessing later on (maybe).
