Zeiss Contax Forum for the classic Zeiss Contax I, II, III, IIa, IIIa , G series, and if you want to push it, the nice Contax point and shoots. Some spill over from the Kievs, the Soviet copy of the Contax II/III can also be expected. Plus the ONLY production camera ever made in classic Zeiss Contax Rangefinder mount WITH TTL metering ... the Voigtlander Bessa R2C.

You're confused. He was talking about this particular fraudulent listing. No need to get all worked up.

He should have stated as such. Otherwise blanket statements insinuate the opposite..

Sorry for creating confusion, Colyn. I'm talking about this specific fraudulent listing. We know the photos are bogus.

And, as noted, the listing has been removed.

Just because the seller does not know what he is talking about doesn't mean we should flag.. Are you the official net cop???

Nobody is going to buy anyway...

Probably the silliest and dumbest lines dropped on the Internet about the Contax II cameras, ever !

Just for this, it's worth $3600, no doubt !
It did make for some comical reading..

I guess an upside-down shutter might be useful in Australia, to get the pictures the right way around.

Cheers,

He's giving false information and representing his item as something it's not, he's also stolen photos. There is a reason Craigslist users can flag ads. This type of ad is the perfect example.

Do you know that for a fact? Maybe he is giving information that was given to him by someone else..

I suspect the seller doesn't have a clue...

Since you say he is posting stolen images you should also post proof of the stolen images otherwise your statement can be construed as you giving false information...

His current post does not have those linked images...

Regardless nobody unless they are stupid is going to fall for the ad and IF someone did that is their problem not yours or mine. Neither you or I can save people from their own stupidity...it is not our job..

My issue is not with whether or not the ad is a scam but the people who will flag ads. Most ads that get flagged are legit.. I've had some of my ads flagged for no reason other than someone thought I wanted too much or they could not talk me down to give away prices..

BTW: I do read all posts in a thread. Some I take with a grain of salt in part because the poster makes statements he/she does not or cannot backup with actual facts..

Craigslist advocates it's users flagging of fraudulent ads.

So because someone flagged your legitimate ad I shouldn't flag his illegitimate ad? That makes no sense.

When did this happen? Who said something they couldn't back up?

That isn't taking something with a grain of salt, that's just not reading the thread. The links to the original photo locations were already posted, so I don't need to "backup with actual facts" when the facts were already clearly posted.

Maybe you should ask someone for a hug.
