I didn't realize that one could focus so close with this Lens. This is very interesting. Very nice.

Thanks

Posted this before, but I still like the image . . .

Ben

P.S. I should note that the amount of information that you have to throw away to post on Flickr, or to post here on RFF on a shot like this is nothing short of amazing. I understand the reasons for it in terms of bandwidth and storage space, but the point is that if you think that any of the images in this thread are impressive, the original files can be printed poster size with a higher resolution than anything you will see here.

this lens doesn't have close up, perhaps it is the focal length effect. my least used lens, too heavy but definitely if i am people shooting.

Nice shot! I have been trying to decide btw the cron aa or the lux. This lens is obviously very sharp edge to edge. But from most pictures I saw, it also seems like lack of the creamy look from the lux. Love both and hope to see more great shots.

correct, this lens doesn't have close up, it is a effect of 75mm focal length + 0.7m focus distance.

I got this lens in 2005, when it just had come out. Impressive quality - and extremely good close up. Initially there was a bit of a"clunk" the the floating elements relocated - but with use it is gone.

Another 75mm f2 shot - just last week. Classic 1947 MG TC - with a radiator cap that looks like it should be on a pressure cooker!
ORWO UN 54 moviestock - rated at 100 iso and developed in a 2 bath developer (Td 201 A3/B3 min).
