3 nice ones today! Same ones as Dan, but I did get Olivier's from Quebec today in a regular envelope, but missing Dan H's (Seattle) unless I've mis-attributed it.

I've given my own names to the cards, I'll share the names after everyone get's theirs.

I got it!

Hi Dan, Yes, I have yours, it was one of the first, a beautiful glossy b/w on thick moo stock.

I think I realize how I missed it, I put my original list aside and started using your list (which obviously doesn't have your own card in the list) as I like the simple concise format to count up. But going back to my master list and reconciling it back, I do have yours.

So now I have 48 cards in hand plus my own, and 10 more coming will be 59.

Like round 1, I'm very pleased with the outcome and with Rob's and everyone's organization. Your list, like last time, has been a simple way to track the cards, though being across the state, a few came in different orders, but usually just a day or two.

If all don't come through, it's no problem, I'm sure things have come up for folks. I think the yield is again, very high for a photo type project.

If anyone hasn't recd. mine, which were sent on June 1 and 2, I can send more out. Let me know. Thanks!!

I'm happy to read some have received my card I received about 45-48 cards too, didn't compared them to the list yet, but I really like the images. I think I'll make a giant frame with all the postcards in them, but I couldn't see from where they are... Maybe a frame on some sort of rails that can flip to the other side with all those kind words and foreign stamps?

I am always amazed when multiple cards arrive because of the differences in the images. But whoa, today tops them all. I got Aad's card from Rotterdam, Bob's image from Boston, Ralph's image from Manchester, CT and Joe's image from Ohio with some help from Eyes Glassy. What an interesting variety of images. Joe thanks for putting my card on the book cover and for obvious reasons I like the Guggenheim stamp on your card;-)

As of this morning, I've received 50 cards!
As I expected, they are each and all beautiful.
Thank you, all!
Only 8 more to brighten my mail box.
Today is 17 July and I think we ought wait until 1 August, at soonest, before we start sharing our cards/collections on line.
Like before, I think it works best to simply continue this thrwad when we get to that point.

And, excellent Moderators, can this thread be "stickified", please?

Rob

I want to let everyone in the project know that a few of my postcards will arrive late because I mislaid them in Pittsboro, North Carolina during a family visit. They're all domestic (US)--I recall the one on top of the little pile is to Jamie Pillers (sorry, Jamie). Once they're mailed to me here in Oregon, I'll get them to you ASAP.

And may I say how happy it has made me to receive all these terrific, inspiring images during a time when I was mostly involved with my mother's final days and nights in hospice. I've had to weigh many things on the scales of life and death during June and July, and it has been a comfort and joy to have your images on the balance of life.

Been sequestered writing next year's syllabi the past few weeks, so I haven't kept up with the thread. The cards have continued to roll in and I'm sitting at 48 now. All wonderful and each one has been a delight!

Very sad (I mean, look at my avatar )... I'm up to 50 received wonderful cards now. Why sad? Because there are only eight to come... I think, I will also setup a online-galery for the cards this time.

* Greg Gunn, superb action shot (cyclist) - well done!
* Valentino., beautiful shot of Italian alps - reminds me of central Pennsylvania in the fall .
* Mike Thomas - excellent urban landscape, love the use of DOF here.
* Tom Farrell - another nice urban shot (park ) . Nice framing and composition.
* Stephan (Germany), another superb urban scene, no end of textures and colors. And bikes!
* Ken Doody, striking and beautifully executed portrait.

That puts me at only 28, something is wrong - we were away for a while , I need to check if some got misplaced.

Also, I resent to

John Weber
John Cordingley
Jim Woodard
Shakif Hussain

Thanks to those who explained my negligence in including a return address sticker on my cards.

Randy
Lots more cards arrived in recent days:

* Ted (Spokane) - Nice shot of the Spokane Falls, a scene I know well; hey, the World's Fair tent is still there!
* Michael Chan - fascinating NYC streetscape
* Dan (seakayaker) - excellent shot in the Boston MFA, great light
* Harry Teasley - unusual perspective on an elephant, tormented by something just out of reach
* Q. Hoti - heartbreaking shot of a wayward pooch in Kosovo
* Keith Leonin - excellent street portrait from the Philippines, wonderful subject and environment
* Kevin Landdeck - Great shot from a "Dachsund Derby" (who knew?) BTW the printing looks great
* Ken R - Very unusual angle on the Brooklyn bridge, never seen before
* Kent Demas - Wonderful street shot from Chinese New Year (SF)
* Elvin Lubis - Excellent image of a very intimidating guy (street fair?)
* Jim Woodard - Mysterious and beautiful image that I can't figure out
* Aad (Jippiejee) - Superb shot of a street vendor in a swarm of pigeons, great scene
* Olivier Sylvestre - Outstanding portrait of guitarist Jean Leloup, really love the tones in this
* Ralph Meliso - Very nice shot of a boy waiting his turn at a carnival, wonderful capture of a moment
* Rob (our fearless leader) contributes a gorgeous shot of mist rising from a lake (upstate NY?)
* Joe Friend - Awesome scene from the ball park, and captured with a little Oly XA!
* John Cordingley - Lovely shot of a stand of trees in low-angle light, beautiful tones and form
* Ben from Boston - Striking image from Tibet, desolate and surreal, took a good eye to see this

That still only brings me to 46, hope these are not getting lost somewhere...

Anyway, THANKS to all of you, I am greatly enjoying receiving your work, and I am proud to participate.

Randy

In the first round, where we had 36 or 37 cards, I think, three cards did not arrive. So I guess, some cards may get lost this time, too. Although after this many cards, the postman should know where to find me...
