Out of the three bricks they had in stock. The other was 2014.03. All other bricks were 135-24 only.

36. There was about five or six bricks of 135-36, and about the same again of 135-24. I took this shot last Wednesday.

Got a roll hanging up to dry in my bathroom right now! Can't find any ten packs down here in Fukuoka though. Best I've seen is 24exp in packs of 5.

Unfortunately the expiry dates on the package is no guarantee that there are still fresh coating runs. The date has no direct connection to the date of the actual coating, as the expiry date depends on the point in time when the master roll is taken out of the freezer and cut for production of final product, which can be years after the actual coating. In Europe every year or so a new batch of APX100 with "fresh" expiry date turns up on the shelves, even though the last master rolls of this film have been coated in 2005.

There will always be diehards prepared to buy film (guilty) but motordrives could become obsolete.

I hate to repeat myself, but... the thread has become a bit "repetitive". All the pictures of "fresh" Neopan film prove ... nothing. Nothing but the fact that it is still available at the moment in Japan, which is nice for those over there but not really helpful for the rest of the world.
Yes, it might be there are still fresh coating runs. But it might also be they are only selling off old stock and pull the curtain at the moment it is sold out. So it might still be around years from now... or it might be discontinued tomorrow. We will know, sooner or later. So let's stop worrying about the future of Neopan 400. Let's go out and shoot!

Exactly.
So far Fujifilm's strategy seems to be just officially put film to sleep once last master roll is cut down (Astia, Neopan 1600, SS..). Let's hope it's different for the 400!

There was no need to repeat yourself as I think anyone who read your first comment understood your point.
You may be right that Fujifilm has already stopped production and is just slowly selling film from the last master roll in the freezer. But it's only speculation on your part.
My line of thinking is that Fujifilm is a much bigger player than Agfa, and I'm seeing thousands of rolls of film being sold through the various Yodobashi stores I visit from time to time. So I suspect that Fujifilm is still making Neopan 400 just like they say they are. Only speculation on my part of course.
I will continue to post updates when I spot newly dated film as I think there is some value in doing so. If the repetitiveness bothers you, you're free to ignore this thread
