Happened twice on my last roll, Time for a Seal Kit I guess....

ok so I made a new seal in the back out of an old mousepad (neoprene).

Next roll will tell me if it works.

When I had leaks like that, it was the seal at the back door hinge. The leak hits the film that's already in the take-up area.

Here is where it goes, in case your FE does not have one.
Take a test roll (short) to make sure it works. You can always add a second piece if needed.

Yeah mine was pretty much gone.

We'll see how my DIY repair worked later in the week when I have shot a test roll.......

All is good, It was exactly the seal you all mentioned.

My on the cheap fix is holding out just fine and I bought (yet another) Domke Gripper (this time for the FE) To celebrate......
