I got my cards back from Moo, and they do a really good job. Really high quality stuff. I am enthused to do more of this, just generally.

$59.74 for 60 cards shipped to me. So it's not super cheap, but the quality is great.

Will they accept negatives or must it be a digital file?
Thanks.

I think the only deal with digital. moo.com for any questions on that, but looking at the site myself, it assumes digital.

I just finished stamping my 60 cards, and while I like the Hobby Lobby stamper, I think I'll do one of the thicker options next go round.

If anyone wants to buy my stamper and ink pad (4x6 archival black, acid free ink, waterproof), I'll sell them both for $20 shipped in the US. Both are like new, but used 60 times

Talking

OK, y'all!

I just emailed out the address list.
If you don't get it, please let me know. I will send it to you again.
I think we are at 57.

There were quite a few of us in the USA who did not add the country to their address.
I corrected most of those but I missed some. Sorry about that, folks!

I know some of us are ready to mail and whom ever is should go ahead!
I also know that at least one(it is me) of us will need this next month to edit, print, and address his cards...

Thank you all again for playing!

Warm regards,
Rob

Rob I got the list. And yes I'm a guilty USA address (Americans can be so geocentric). Having already done some prep work, mine will go out during the week.

Thanks again for setting this up

Thanks so much Rob. Mine are going out over the weekend. I come up with about 43% International, which is awesome!

Here's the breakdown of countries I have from your list, costs for postage are from the US:

USA 0.32 x 32
UK 1.05 x 6
Canada .85 x 3
Australia 1.05 x 3
Netherlands 1.05 x 3
Germany 1.05 x 2
Malaysia 1.05
Italy 1.05
Switzerland 1.05
Kyrgyzstan 1.05
Czech Republic 1.05
Slovakia 1.05
Mexico .85

Since we get the same mailing list (other than ourselves), we all should have such a distribution. Right?

I'm nearly in business!
Pack of postcards just arrived - a special offer from 'Vistaprint'.
Can't say that I am 'completely over the moon' with them, but they aren't bad! I've now got to address and stamp the cards.

A request - can we all try to put on 'fancy' stamps?
Makes for a more colourful and interesting card.

I'll have to make a special trip to the local post office to see what is in stock or could be next week - so some hold-up in despatch.

Could someone please summarize the options we have to order postcards?
I need to act fast once I will be back in the USA.

There is Moo and there is Vistaprint and .... etc.

Thanks.

Raid,

You can try sharpdots.com. They do good quality printing–I haven't used them for postcards, but I have for business cards and brochures. The stock won't be as heavy as the 16pt moo stock, but the 14pt UV stock will still be pretty good. It's about $17 for 75 cards printed on one side only, or about $20 for one color printing on the back side... plus shipping. The only thing I don't know about their postcards is how writable the back side is... it would be worth writing them to ask.

You can also use 4by6.com–their 'recycled' paper is comparable in price to MOO, and you can write in pen on it.

And overnightprints.com are pretty cheap. I haven't used them so I can't compare quality.

I'm not a huge fan of vistaprint for this kind of thing–I don't find that whatever savings is worth the trouble. The easiest web interface by far is MOO.

Thank you. I just need to start somewhere as I may be behind due to my trip overseas. Once I get home and get over the jet lag, I will pick out one digital image and order 60 postcards as quickly as possible.

If your list is much different than my distribution, we should check with Rob.

'Makin' a list
'Checkin' it twice
'Gonna find out who's ...

I Just ordered 60 postcards, 06/02/12, through moo.com for $59.74 and the arrival date is set for 06/13/12. I used moo last time and did love the quality of the cards.

I have only used one other company called 'U Printing' for postcards which was cheaper than moo.com but the quality was apparent. The thickness of the moo postcard was about twice as thick.

Plenty of time, better late than never!

. . . . . . also with MOO you can customize the back half of the card and have a preprinted message and lines for the addresses. It saves a heck of a lot of time, just adding the addresses on 60 cards is time consuming enough.

I've just finished addressing my cards. Now there's the matter of figuring out the postage to a dozen different nations...

[EDIT] Doh, just saw Ampguy has done that legwork. Thanks, brother.
