Super Ikonta B 532/16 Aperture/Shutter scale

Hi All,

I just won a Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta B 532/16, primarily for display (Leaky bellows, hazy lens, stuck shutter - though I cannot confirm on the shutter, as I am still awaiting the cameras arrival, and the seller says that the rangefinder does work.) but it is missing one quite important component: An aperture/shutter speed scale. I have a dream that I could send it off to one of the few people who restore these cameras, and replace the bellows, such as Certo6, and get it working again, but that is a dream only to be fulfilled way down the line, when I have more cash . I was wondering however, if anybody had an aperture/shutter scale that they would be willing to sell me, or knew of where I could buy one? The only other option I would guess, would be to buy another parts camera, though for one part only, I feel that is slightly overkill. This is the camera: ZI Super Ikonta B 532/16 for parts. Laugh at me, go on, silly I know to buy such a dreadful camera, but I couldn't help it. At least will look reasonably nice on a shelf.

Cheers,
Craig :-)

Just got one of these myself last week in similar condition, though all the parts are there. I'm trying to figure out why I can't charge the shutter unless I push the main lever past the delay button. If the bellows is leaky on yours, then a bit of fabric paint applied on the inside might help. But Zeiss bellows are known for their longevity, and I haven't had an issue with one yet. And the lens is not too hard to get apart and clean. The rangefinder optics however can be a bugger. For parts, you can try BRcamera over at http://www.kyphoto.com/ He's usually got a supply of odd stuff.

Good luck, Craig.
